If the requested subscribed demand is higher than 34.5kVA, the metering system will be indirectly connected and CT chamber is required. The requirement of the metering box and CT chamber is according to CEM standard.
The above requirement of cable and meter board (panel) is provided to electrical contractor's reference only.
It is recommended to hire an electrical contractor for the alternation job with submission of the alternation proposal to CEM for verification.
Please refer to “NCEM” for technical requirements in details.
Remarks:
The above diagram is a three-phase direct connection.
All the electrical installation specified in the above meter equipment connection diagram, including the meter board/panel, the cables before and after the meter, shall be responsible by the customers. While the meter and circuit breaker with subscribed demand 34.5kVA or below are under CEM's responsibility.
CEM’s approval is required for unsealing meter, customer needs to complete all necessary metering job with informing CEM to reseal meters within 15 days.
Customer needs to settle the connection charges/job cost (if any) with remodeling before the due date, otherwise, the application will be cancelled without further notice.
In case the designed capacity limit of the original communal electrical installation of the relevant building is reached at the time of application, customer shall hire an experienced electrical contractor to upgrade the communal electrical installation before applying for a change of subscribed demand.
In case the installation of additional facilities is involved in the communal areas due to the application of changing subscribed demand, customer shall take the responsibility to post the upgrade work notice in conspicuous places of the building for 15 days before proceeding.
Replacement of miniature circuit-breaker (MCB) rating next to the meter can only be performed by CEM.
When applying for a three-phase meter, if there is no individual fuse inside CCL for the relevant premise, customer must install one and connect it with “electricity-to-meter” method.
Ensure normal operation of metering equipment during the job.
