The “Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao Power Industry Services Seminar” is an annual event, and Companhia de Electricidade de Macau - CEM, S.A. It plays an important role in promoting the development of the power industry in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao and boosting the cooperation between these three regions. Hosted by the Guangdong Power Grid Corporation Huizhou Power Supply Bureau, the 17th “Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao Power Industry Services Seminar” was held between November 8 and 9 in Huizhou city, Guangdong province. CEM’s Advisor to the Executive Committee Iun Iok Meng led a delegation of 14 people to attend the seminar.

Nearly one hundred people from the power companies in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao attended the seminar, with a theme on “Great Services for the Social Era”. They took part in comprehensive and in-depth discussions at the seminar, and shared their experience and exchanged views with peers. The attendees hoped that through the discussions, the three regions could further improve their service quality, jointly address the challenges faced by the industry and enhance their mutual cooperation, so as to create a more ideal power supply environment. The seminar was fruitfully concluded and will be held in November next year in Hong Kong.

Iun Iok Meng said in his speech at the closing ceremony that the “Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao Power Industry Services Seminar” has been an important platform for power companies in the three regions to share their experience and seek cooperation. Themed on “Great Services for the Social Era”, this year’s seminar offered participants the opportunity to discuss ways to make the best use of corporate resources and effectively manage these resources under a rapidly-changing environment, in order to meet the ever-changing customer demand and expectations and provide customers with the best services. Embracing its 40th anniversary this year, CEM is delighted with its collaboration with Guangdong Power Grid and CLP Power, which embodies the slogan ‘Together we shine’ for the 40th anniversary.
