CEM shows compassion by donating used clothes and toys

27 May 2013, Macau

CEM organized an internal campaign to collect used clothes and toys once again this year. The company has called on all the employees to give donations to those in need and promoted environmental protection within the company. The campaign has received warm reception from CEM employees, and a large amount of clothes and toys have been collected in a short time with the assistance of CEM Ambassadors Team members.

Advisor to CEM Executive Committee Iun Iok Meng and CEM Communications and Public Affairs Office Senior Manager Cecilia Nip donated all collected items to the Salvation Army in Macau at CEM Building on May 27 afternoon. David Chiu, Acting Chief Operations Officer of Recycling Programme at the Salvation Army in Macau accepted the donations.

Iun Iok Meng said that CEM Ambassadors Team launches a charity campaign for the collection of used clothes and toys every year. The drop-off boxes were available in the company and a dozen of CEM Ambassadors called on their department employees for donation. This event aims to put CEM’s pledge of environment protection and resource conservation into practice as well as encourage employees to actively care and support the minority community. David Chiu thanked CEM employees for their generous donation. He looks forward to cooperating with CEM again to benefit more people in need.
