To celebrate CEM’s popular mascot Power Boy’s 5th birthday together with the Macau community, CEM launches the Power Boy Buddies Design Contest. Macau’s college students, amateur or professional designers, middle school and primary school students etc. are all invited to enter the Contest. Macao Polytechnic Institute and Macau Animation & Comic Alliance are invited to be the co-organizers. Winning entries will have the chance of being part of CEM’s mascot family and will be utilized widely for future promotion.

Entrants will be divided into three groups: Open Group – Macau’s college students, amateur or professional designers and adults are eligible to enter. Entries will be accepted from individuals only. Prizes include one Champion, one 1st runner-up and one 2nd runner-up with MOP7,000, MOP5,000 and MOP3,000 cash prizes respectively. The other two groups, Middle School Student Group and Primary School Student Group – Macau’s middle school and primary school students are eligible to enter. Entries will be accepted from individuals only. Prizes in each Student Group include one Champion, one 1st runner-up and one 2nd runner-up with cash prizes of MOP3,000, MOP2,000 and MOP1,000 respectively.

Entrants are required to design a buddy matching with CEM’s corporate mascot Power Boy’s image. Power Boy comes from CEM’s spirit of joyful, love, creativity and efficiency. He is also a loyal and reliable friend of Macau residents. Entrants have to be theme focus and present the design in 3 or 4-side views (front, back and sides) by any means, including hand drawings or with the help of design software. Design must be submitted together with the entry form.

Selected by the judges, ten finalists from each group will be uploaded on CEM’s fb fan page www.facebook.com/Energizing.Tour for the public to vote for their favorite buddy by “Like” the entries. The winner of “My Favorite Buddy” who gets the most “Like” from public voting will receive an iPad mini. Moreover, three out of all voters will win MOP1,000 cash prize respectively by the means of lucky draw.

Submission of the Power Boy Buddies Design Contest starts now and ends on 30 May. Fb public voting will be open from 9 to 27 June 2014. Result will be announced in CEM’s website and fb fan page on 7 July 2014.
