“Healthy Eating” Induction Cooking Contest is now open for registration

The “Healthy Eating” Induction Cooking Contest organized by CEM, co-organized by Catering Services & Cooking Training Centre of Macau Federation of Trade Unions and supported by Macau Professional Nutritionist Association will be held on 28 September (Sunday). Macau residents aged above 18 who are not professional chefs are welcome to join the contest.
The contest aims to promote induction cooking and establish a healthy food culture. Participants need to design a low-carbon and healthy dish (regardless of cuisine) with the principle of balanced nutrition. It is suggested that the content of fruit and vegetables in the dish should not be lower than 70%. Judges will take the concept of the dish as the selection criteria of the contest.
The contest will be divided into two phases: the selection of recipes and the cooking contest. The participants are required to fill in the registration form and post it to the designated address before 31 August. The judge panel will select the finalists from the entries to participate in the cooking contest scheduled on 28 September. Winners of the Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards will receive electrical appliance coupons of MOP3,000, MOP2,000 and MOP1,500 respectively. Also, there will be a Green Concept Award, winner will receive electrical appliance coupon of MOP1,500; a Recipe Design Award, winner will receive electrical appliance coupon of MOP1,000, while five Excellence Award winners will receive electrical appliance coupon of MOP800 and twelve Consolation Awards winners will receive supermarket shopping coupon of MOP200.
