Facebook Public Voting for CEM Power Boy Buddies Design Contest Is Now Open

To celebrate CEM’s popular mascot Power Boy’s 5th birthday together with the Macau community, CEM launches the Power Boy Buddies Design Contest. Co-organizers include Macao Polytechnic Institute and Macau Animation & Comic Alliance. Submission ended on 30 June and the response was overwhelming with over 200 entries received.

The contest was divided into three groups: Open Group, Middle School Student Group and Primary School Student Group. Each group contains prizes of one champion, one first runner-up and one second runner-up respectively. Judging criteria comprises two parts: professional judging (80%) and public voting (20%). The professional judging panel consisted of Macao Polytechnic Institute Associate Professor of School of Arts Stephen Chung, Macau Animation & Comic Alliance Chairman Wesley Chan and Vice Chairman AC Kuan, Advisor to CEM Executive Committee Iun Iok Meng and Communications and Public Affairs Office Manager Jaclyn Iun.

Public voting will be conducted online. Ten final entries selected by the judges from each group will be uploaded on CEM “Energizing Tour” Facebook fan page (www.facebook.com/Energizing.Tour). Public can vote for their favorite buddy by “Like” the entries. The winner of “My Favorite Buddy” who obtains the most number of “Likes” from public voting will be awarded an iPad mini. In addition, all voters will automatically enter the lucky draw and three of them will win MOP1,000 cash prize respectively. To win the attractive cash prizes, vote now!

“CEM Power Boy Buddies Design Contest” Facebook public voting starts now and ends on 25 July. All results of the contest will be announced in CEM’s website www.cem-macau.com and “Energizing Tour” Facebook fan page on 4 August 2014. Winners will be notified individually.
