To record the moment by snapshot with mobile phone and immediately share it through social networking platform has become one of the communication modes in the modern society. To let Macau citizens to be conscious of energy saving and to understand the importance of treasuring resources, CEM launches the Energy Saving Snapshot Contest. Citizens are encouraged to discover energy saving acts from the observation of their daily lives. Small change can make big difference to the Earth! Macao Digital Photography Association and The Photography Salon Society of Macao are invited to be the co-organizers. Entries will be accepted from individuals only. All citizens are welcome to participate in the Contest regardless their age and nationality. Prizes include one Champion, one 1st runner-up and one 2nd runner-up with MOP6,000, MOP4,000 and MOP3,000 cash prizes respectively.

Entry photos must be related to energy saving concept and can be taken by phone or camera, etc. Entrants must upload snapshots illustrating energy saving acts to CEM “Macao Energy Saving Contest” Facebook fan page (www.facebook.com/energysavin...) with a caption of less than 50 Chinese words or 100 English words for each entry. No limit on number of submissions.

After uploading the photo, entrant can share it to personal Facebook page for family and friends to vote by clicking “Like”. The public can also vote for their favorite eco-photo by “Like” the entries. The winner of “My Favorite Eco-photo” who obtains the most number of “Likes” will be awarded an Apple Watch. Moreover, three out of all voters will win MOP1,000 cash prize respectively by the means of lucky draw. For public voting, only votes from active Facebook accounts from Macau are accepted and counted.

Submission of the CEM Energy Saving Snapshot Contest starts now and ends on 15 September, while Fb public voting also starts now and ends on 30 September. Result will be announced in CEM’s website (www.cem-macau.com) and “Macao Energy Saving Contest” Facebook fan page on 20 October 2015. Contest rules and details are available on CEM website.
