She expressed gratitude to CEM for its long-standing support to AGMM and hopes that the Seminar can enhance citizens’ awareness about energy safety and encourage them to take various measures to conserve energy and save money, as well as contribute to protecting the environment. She said that CEM’s extensive promotions through multiple channels and various forms have imparted correct knowledge of energy usage to citizens, thereby further deepening citizens’ sense of identification with CEM services.
Jane Leong said that CEM has been attaching importance to communication with customers and the needs of residents; therefore, it organizes seminars at communities regularly to enhance its communication with citizens. CEM also encourages residents to choose suitable and safe electrical appliances to save energy, and hopes that residents can realize the importance of maintenance and management of public electrical installations in buildings to ensure that the residents’ daily life will not be affected due to lack of maintenance.
Cecilia Nip said that CEM hopes to provide Macau citizens with safe and high-standard living through high quality of power supply. Presently, power consumption has entered the peak period as the weather continues to be hot. To shoulder social responsibilities, CEM holds the energy saving and safety seminars every year to enhance citizens’ awareness and promote the work related to environmental protection and energy saving.
At the Seminar, Joyce Lao, Customer Contact Management Officer of CEM Customer Services Department, introduced various services provided by CEM, including “e-Service” and “Mobile App”, and explained the power supply application procedures and payment methods, as well as some common questions on government’s electricity subsidy. Alex Chiu, Metering Services Management Engineer of Customer Services Department, shared the “responsibilities and periodic maintenance of public electrical installations”, “energy safety at home” and “energy saving tips at home” with the participants, teaching residents how to save energy while using appliances safely.
The Seminar ended with enthusiastic response from the participants in the Q and A session. On the day it was also the monthly birthday party for the members of AGMM and CEM presented souvenirs to the participants.
