CEM announces TCA in the 2nd quarter will be 30 cents, a reduction of 3 cents
Macau, 18 April
According to the calculation under the concession contract, the 2nd quarter Tariff Clause Adjustment (TCA) will be at 30 cents per kWh for CEM’s Tariff Group A, B and C customers, 3 cents per kWh lower than the previous quarter.
The reduction in TCA is attributed to renminbi exchange rate decrease and local power generation, in which the increase of natural gas power generation reflects the importance of local power generation and the advantage of selecting the best energy mix. CEM will continuously endeavor to stabilize the tariff, and sustain the safety and reliability of overall power supply for all citizens in Macau. The Average Service Availability Index (ASAI) based on CEM’s responsibility reached 99.9998% in 2016, standing at the world’s advanced power supply service level.
