CEM holds the 6th Macau Outstanding Senior Citizen Award

Since 2012, CEM has been organizing the Macau Outstanding Senior Citizen Award every year with an aim to recognize and honor senior citizens who make persistent contributions to the community, as well as to encourage them to share their profound life experience and knowledge for social development and act as role models to propel more young people to become enthusiastic about serving the community. From today till 15 September, permanent Macau residents aged 65 or above are eligible to be nominated by co-organizers or local associations to participate in the sixth Macau Outstanding Senior Citizen Award.
Macau Outstanding Senior Citizen Award is co-organized by Macau Federation of Trade Unions, General Residents Association of Macau, Women’s General Association of Macau, Caritas Macau, Macau Special Olympics and Fu Hong Society of Macau. Judging panel include Lo Sok Ha, Chief of the Senior Citizen Services Department of Social Welfare Bureau; Lei Pui Lam, Vice President of the Chinese Educators Association of Macau; Lam Wan Mei, Director of Seniors Academy of Macao Polytechnic Institute; Sin Chi Yeung, Vice President of Macau Elder Sports Association and Iun Iok Meng, Advisor to CEM Executive Committee. Ten winners will be selected by the judges with fairness and justice.
