With the New Year drawing near and the Year of the Rabbit around the corner, near 30 CEM Ambassadors Team paid a visit to Lar de Cuidados “Sol Nascente” da Areia Preta on 27 January and celebrated the New Year with more than 50 senior citizens.

On the day, CEM staff wished the senior citizens a happy new year by acting as the God of Fortune, which made them very delighted. CEM also especially arranged for someone to guide CEM staff to make wonton together with the elderly people and make new year ornaments for the them as gifts. The elderly people actively participated in the activity, creating lively and harmonious atmosphere. After that, CEM Communications and Public Affairs Senior Manager Iun Iok Meng wrote New Year couplets, adding more joy to the activity.

At last, CEM Ambassadors presented Laisee to the senior citizens and took photos with them, concluding the visit in joy and laughter.

Apart from members of the CEM Ambassador Team and CEM staff participating in the visit, CEM Executive Director Jorge Vieira , CEM Communications and Public Affairs Senior Manager Iun Iok Meng and Generation Department Senior Manager Ip Kam Veng also partook in the event.

CEM has always put a lot of efforts to care for and serve the community, including offering special tariff discount for the senior citizens, organizing CEM Ambassador Team to provide voluntary social services for the people in need, providing services for the needy people in Macau and participating in community activities regularly, and visiting orphanages and senior citizen centres during festival days.
