On the last weekend before New Year's Day, Companhia de Electricidade de Macau - CEM, S.A. (CEM) sent blessings and care for this festive season by inviting 100 children from Macao Federation of Trade Unions, General Residents Association of Macau, Women’s General Association of Macau, Caritas de Macau and Fu Hong Society to enjoy a movie together and bid farewell to 2019.

Nearly 200 people including volunteers from CEM Ambassadors Team and the associations, as well as families of concern enjoyed the cartoon movie "Frozen 2" together at Cinema Alegria. Afterwards, each participating child received a gift pack from CEM Ambassadors as a token of wish for academic progress in the new year. The atmosphere was filled with joy and laughter.

Wong Mei Wai, a volunteer from General Residents Association of Macau expressed gratitude to CEM for supporting and organizing this event, which provided an opportunity for families of concern to indulge in quality family time, letting the children enjoy more festive fun and happy memories.

Jaclyn Iun, Senior Manager of CEM Regulatory Affairs and Corporate Communications Office said that in a bid to share love and care for the disadvantaged, CEM has been organizing different types of activities regularly to show concern for and assist people from different social strata through CEM Ambassadors Team. She also thanked all participating associations for their support and assistance. The response of this event was overwhelming and there was a large number of participants. It was delighted to see that all children could happily welcome 2020 in high spirits.
