As e-payments in Macau have been growing in popularity in recent years, Companhia de Electricidade de Macau - CEM, S.A. (CEM) has actively communicated and cooperated with different e-payment platforms, allowing customers to pay electricity bills with relevant platforms in real-time. There are many benefits of real-time payment, alongside saving time in queuing for payment at the counters as customers can pay via mobile phones anytime and anywhere, it also allows customers to settle overdue bills. If power supply has been disconnected, reconnection will be arranged automatically after payment.

To encourage customers to use real-time payment services, CEM launches the “Real-time, Real easy! Receive up to a $100 instant deduction with real-time payment” random deduction activity. From 1 to 31 July 2021, customers who pay electricity bills via the e-payment platforms of BOC, ICBC Macau, BNU, Well Link Bank, MPay or UePay will have a chance to receive a random instant deduction of up to MOP100 on their payment. All customers are entitled to a chance to enjoy a random deduction through this activity, whether it is their first time settling bills with real-time payment or not. Furthermore, CEM also provides other online payment methods for the public to choose from, including autopay, online banking, and so forth.
