With the Mid-Autumn Festival around the corner, CEM Ambassadors paid a visit to Iao Hon Community Center under the General Union of Neighborhood Associations of Macau (UGAMM) and accompanied more than 40 seniors to enjoy hair-cutting service while chatting with them. The team also presented low-sugar mooncakes to them as a gesture of festive goodwill.

10 CEM Ambassadors assisted in the venue setup under the guidance of the representative of UGAMM, learned about the center’s facilities and daily operations, and accompanied the seniors to the activity hall. The seniors were looking forward to the visit of CEM Ambassadors and gave them warm greetings. With all the hairdressing tools ready, UGAMM volunteers attentively listened to the seniors, taking note of how they wanted their hair to be styled. They were glad to see the seniors become more confident and fresher after receiving their haircuts. 

The Ambassadors had been facilitating throughout the event, chitchatting with the seniors and providing them with warm companionship and care. It was not just about the haircut. More importantly, it was about listening and companionship, sharing with them the moments and stories of life. Finally, the Ambassadors presented low-sugar healthy malt mooncakes for them to maintain a healthy diet while enjoying the festival.

The hair-cutting service not only brought the seniors a new look, but also provided them with satisfaction and happiness. CEM hopes to brighten the lives of many during the festival with the contribution of all of its Ambassadors to foster a culture of cohesiveness and caring within the community, and to engender warmth and solidarity among people.
