Vong Kok Seng said that State Grid takes the construction and operation of power grids as its core business and undertakes the basic mission of ensuring safer, more economical, cleaner and sustainable power supply. State Grid provides power to over 1.1 billion people in 26 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, covering 88% of the national territory. State Grid is a backbone energy enterprise in the capital. It has successfully completed the task of ensuring power supply for major events such as the CCP 100th anniversary and the Beijing Winter Olympics. It has also built a high-reliability and high-end smart distribution network in the sub-center of Beijing, creating a world-class distribution network infrastructure. The visits to different units of the State Grid will allow CLC members to further understand the construction status of new power systems and related advanced technologies. Meanwhile, visiting the modern construction projects in Xiongan New Area can be a reference for the future development of the Macau New Urban Zone.

CEPRI is a multi-disciplinary and comprehensive scientific research institution in the Chinese power industry. It has hosted many scientific research projects over the years and has successively conquered the core technologies of ultra-high voltage power transmission, large power grid security and new energy, etc. The development and construction of Xiongan New Area are progressing continuously, achieving a higher level and more sustainable development and creating a green, ecological and livable new city.
