CEM makes every effort to assist Ip Heng Building in handling the power outage incident, ensuring the power supply for residents
Macau, 22 April 2024
Yesterday, CEM was notified of a power outage at Ip Heng Building in Seac Pai Van and immediately dispatched an emergency team to the site. Upon inspection, it was found that the customer’s internal electrical equipment on a certain floor’s garbage room was damaged due to water leakage and triggered the circuit breaker. After learning the cause, the residents hired electricians to follow up with the repairs.
To continuously monitor the situation, CEM proactively checked back with the residents in the evening of the same day to understand the progress and condition of the repairs. It was found that the restoration work had not achieved the expected results, and full power was not restored. Given the severe damage to the customer’s electrical installation which requires a prolonged period for replacement, CEM has activated the emergency mechanism and dispatched staff to assist the residents in carrying out repair works in order not to disrupt their daily life and operations. CEM will arrange temporary power supply for Ip Heng Building as soon as possible, until the repair work on the customer’s side is completed.
CEM will continue to monitor the repair progress at Ip Heng Building and provide necessary support. CEM hereby reiterates the call that the communal electrical installations in buildings are jointly owned by the owners, who should hire experienced electrical contractors for regular maintenance and repairs to ensure their safety in electricity usage.
