In an effort to unite all sectors of society to create a low-carbon home, Companhia de Electricidade de Macau - CEM, S.A. (CEM) successfully held its first Eco Market featuring electric vehicle (EV) trunks last year, gaining support from all EV brands sold in Macau, and creating a new scene for green consumption. The “CEM EV Trunk Eco Market” will make its return on 14 September (Saturday) from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Tap Seac Square. The market is co-organized by the Environmental Protection Bureau of the Macau SAR and supported by Nam Kwong International Conference & Exhibition Co., Ltd. CEM looks forward to spending a green leisure time with the citizens. To encourage citizens to actively integrate into a green lifestyle and deepen the understanding of environmental protection and carbon reduction, those who visit the market on the day of the event and upload photos to the comment section of the CEM’s Facebook event post will be able to enter a lucky draw, with a chance to win an iPhone 15!

The event day is packed with activities, featuring multiple free green workshops brought by Oxfam in Macau and Shadow Art Macau. Citizens can register on-site to participate in workshops such as potting with dragon fruit seeds, recycled paper making with coffee grounds, and shadow play puppet making. The event will also host the “Let’s Get Energized” Street Dance Competition, Mundane Cosplay Contest, “Power Buddies Cup” Claw Machine Contest, “Forest Guardians” Shadow Play Puppet Show, Children’s Electric Go-Kart Experience Camp, and other exciting activities to enhance the fun of the market. Citizens participating in the Eco Market activities will have the chance to win a variety of souvenirs. Customers interested in CEM’s E-bill and Autopay services are also welcome to inquire and apply for related services at the market.

Apart from selling a variety of eco-friendly products, the highlight of the market is that citizens can get up close with various EVs currently sold in Macau, including brands such as Mercedes, BYD, Geely, Hongqi, Hyundai, Lexus, Lynk & Co, Maxus, NIO, Ora, Tesla and Zeekr. Additionally, the market will showcase various EVs used in CEM’s operations.
