As the Mid-Autumn Festival approaches, Companhia de Electricidade de Macau - CEM, S.A. (CEM) collaborated with volunteers from the “Peng On Tung” Tele-assistance Center to organize a visit. CEM Ambassadors visited 10 elderly individuals living alone, offered them with low-sugar mooncakes and gift bags, and checked the safety of their home electrical usage, spreading festive blessings and the spirit of mutual care and support within the community.

On the afternoon of 16 September, 15 CEM Ambassadors arrived at the “Peng On Tung” Tele-assistance Center of the General Residents Association of Macau. Under the introduction of Miss Tang at the center, CEM Ambassadors learned about the usage of the “Peng On Tung” service and some interview techniques for home visiting. Subsequently, the Ambassadors divided into groups to visit elderly users living alone, attentively listening to their needs and showing them care. Additionally, CEM arranged for electricians to visit the elderly's homes to check the safety of their electrical usage. Before leaving, the Ambassadors gifted each household low-sugar mooncakes and gift bags, promoting a joyful festive atmosphere, and creating a warm and harmonious scene.

As an integral part of the community, CEM has organized various community service projects, sharing love and care with underprivileged groups. The Mid-Autumn Festival symbolizes reunion and harmony, even a simple greeting or a meal can mean abundant love to the elderly. CEM hopes that the public can share more love and care with the elderly around them, continuously empowering each other and jointly building a caring and supportive society.
